Volunteer FAQ

FAQ's for people who wish to volunteer as a coach in Pennsylvania.

Documents & Clearances Required for Coaches

If you are a coach for the Donegal Braves, you will need to complete a few items before you may begin coaching.

As a volunteer in Pennsylvania you are  required to complete 3 clearances per ACT 34 in Pennsylvania.  The 3 clearances are the PA Child Abuse History Certification, PA State Police Criminal Check, and FBI Clearance.  If you have been a resident of PA for the past 10 consecutive years, you may download, print, and sign the ACT 15- 10 year residency document in place of the FBI Fingerprinting.

As a coach, you are also required per league rules to take a concussion training course.  This can be done at home and usually only takes around a half hour or so.  Please print the certificate at the end.

Also per league requirements, all coaches are asked to sign the Coaches Code of Conduct. This document can be downloaded.

Please turn all clearances into Christie Smith. You may email or turn in hard copies of any documents.  Please email any documents and questions to Christie at donegalbraves@gmail.com
